Join the Heurich House Museum for our annual Oktoberfest!
Eight DC beers on tap ♦ Brats on the grill from Cafe Berlin ♦ Homemade pretzels from Das Pretzel Haus ♦ Kraut & pickles from No. 1 Sons ♦ Live German music from Die Drei
We'll transform the Castle Garden into a biergarten to celebrate the Heurich family's German heritage. We are delighted to be partnering with the DC Brewers Guild to bring you a one-of-a-kind Oktoberfest experience. Eight beers, one from each Guild member listed below, will be on tap all afternoon in honor of DC's most successful brewmaster, Christian Heurich (1842-1945). The museum will be open for self-guided tours from 1-2 pm.
Ticket price includes food and unlimited beer. Guests must be 21 or older. The brewers will be serving:
3 Stars Brewing Company: Raspberry Dissonance, Berliner Style Rye conditioned with raspberries
Atlas Brew Works: District Common, California Common featuring biscuit malt and Czech Saaz hops.
Bluejacket: The Darling Buds: Cascade 2015, wet hop IPA
DC Brau: Oktoberfest, traditional style Oktoberfest brewed with all German malts
District ChopHouse & Brewery: Oktoberfest, a refreshing, malt-forward Vienna style lager & Cheque Please, a Czech style Pilsner
Gordon Biersch Navy Yard: Festbier, a modern day Oktoberfest beer; lighter body than Märzen but more robust, hoppy flavor.
Hellbender Brewing Company: Bäre Bönes Kölsch, traditional German Kolsch with all American ingredients. Starts slightly bitter with floral and spicy hop armas, finishes clean and dry.
Right Proper Brewing Company: Being There, kellerbier
